Youth Ministry

In response to the Gospel, and in pursuit of our mission and vision, we believe in the dignity and giftedness of each human, particularly in the gifts and charisms of young people. We celebrate the richness of diversity and work to foster the baptismal call of each person to discipleship and ministry. 

Our speakers:

Alyssa Miles is a native from FWB, FL. She is currently working as the Pastoral Assistant at Saint Rita's Parish in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Prior to this position, she served in a handful of ministerial capacities: as a Catholic educator, a missionary with Life Teen, a college Campus minister at Saint Louis University and a Director of Faith Formation. While at SLU, she also obtained a Certificate in Spiritual Direction. The heart of her ministry is centered around creating spaces for encounter with one another and ultimately with God, who desires their true freedom. 


Alison Blanchet received her B.A. in Theology and Religious Education from Franciscan University of Steubenville and worked as a youth minister in South Carolina and Florida for 15 years.  In 2021 she completed her Masters in Counseling and Mental Health at Troy University and has been a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida since May of 2024.  She and her husband, Jim, live in Panama City with their three children- ages 15, 12 and 5 and attend St. John the Evangelist.  Alison has worked full time as a trauma therapist for children and teens for the last 3 years.
