In addition to Sundays, it is obligatory to attend Mass on the following holy days occurring on weekdays in 2026 in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee:
Thursday, January 1 - Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God
Tuesday, December 8 - Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
Friday, December 25 – The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Christmas)
The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord has been permanently transferred to the 7th Sunday of Easter in all seven Florida dioceses. Catholics in Florida are therefore not canonically obliged to attend Mass on Ascension Thursday (May 14).
Saturday, August 15, is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In accord with the complementary canonical norm confirmed for the dioceses of the United States of America, because it is a Saturday, this year the obligation to attend Mass on this date is abrogated.
The Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, falls on a Sunday in 2026.
