"The liturgy ... is the outstanding means whereby the faithful can express in their lives and manifest to others the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church"
Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, no. 2
Sacraments and Worship, which includes the Office of Liturgy, is dedicated to faithfully handing on the Church's sacred mysteries so that the people of the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee may encounter Jesus Christ in the liturgy. Through the reverent celebration of the Sacraments and the Church's worship, the faithful are nourished by God's grace, strengthened in faith, and formed as disciples of Christ, who gave Himself up for us.
The Office also promotes the beauty and integrity of the Church's worship by fostering excellence in liturgical music, sacred art, and architecture. By providing guidance for the worthy and proper celebration of the sacraments, it helps cultivate environments that invite the faithful into deeper communion with the Triune God.
