Bishop William A. Wack, CSC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David R. Kimbell as Chief Financial Officer for the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. Husband to Erin and father to their six children, David has served our diocese for the last 14 years in varying capacities, most recently as Parish Manager and Director of School Development for the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pensacola. During his Cathedral tenure he successfully managed a significant capital campaign to refurbish the church and wider campus. He has also served as chair for Mother Clelia Morning Star High School advisory council, gathering community investment to support operations and development. He holds Master’s in Business Administration from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Master’s in Education from the University of Notre Dame.
Bishop added this upon the appointment: "After an extensive search process, we have appointed Mr. David Kimbell as our CFO. He succeeds Ed Largaespada, who now serves the same role in the Diocese of Birmingham. Dave is well known to many of us in the western part of the diocese, having served as a teacher at St. John the Evangelist School (Pensacola), Vice Principal at Sacred Heart School, and the Parish Manager of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. He is skilled at team-building and project management. Ever since I started here in this diocese, people jokingly said to me, ‘You need someone like Dave Kimbell on your staff.’ Well, now we have one! I am grateful to Fr. James and the staff of the Cathedral both for their understanding and for their assistance in helping this to come about."
Please join us in welcoming Mr. Kimbell and in praying for his continued fruitful service in our diocese!
